MODEL RAILWAY LAYOUT F O R   S A L E - £150
PROCEEDS TO ROTHER VALLEY RAILWAY

A free-standing N Gauge layout With a Graham Farish Suburban Passenger Train Set

Layout 1

The track layout comprises two main running tracks with loops off to stations and sidings. There are two turntables one of which is mechanically driven. The layout is large enough to accommodate:

  • Three stations, one with two platforms
  • 5 medium length and 2 short engine sheds around one of the turntables
  • Two tunnels
  • A Hornby Lyddle End village
  • Signal boxes, plate layers huts and other landscaping items including trees

The track is split into 6 zones and needs 6 controllers (not included) to allow simultaneous main-line running, shunting and station movements.  This could be easily modified to use fewer controllers. A number of isolation switches allow isolation of sections of the sidings.

Layout 2

Fabrication and dimensions:  The free-standing layout measures, at its longest point, 140 x 227cm.  It stands 95cm high.  It is fabricated from chipboard panels set on a wooden frame.  It has 9 sturdy, wooden legs.  The weight is unknown, but it is heavy.

Condition:  There is some minor damage (one of the turntables for example), but there is nothing that cannot easily be repaired.

The layout is offered to include a Graham Farish Suburban Passenger Train Set (370 075) comprising BR 61xx 2-6-2 Prairie Tank Loco, 2 Coaches, transformer and controller.

Layout 5

The layout would need to be collected from Biggin Hill.  It would obviously need a suitably sized van, and would probably need two people to handle it.

Please enquire by email reception@rvr.org.uk
